Meeting started 7:00 p.m.

Lee Morrison opened the meeting.  There was a discussion of last year’s expenses and dues from 2015.  Ramon said the dues for 2015 so far has been $17,200.

(Note: Dues checks are sent to the Secretary who logs the checks into the PBCA database to maintain a record of which houses have paid dues for each calendar year.   After logging the checks, the Secretary sends them to the Treasurer who logs them again and deposits the checks into the bank.  Having two sets of people log the checks provides a system of check and balance for the money.  However, the Secretary maintains a list of payments by calendar year and the Treasurer maintains an accounting of when the checks are deposited…..so, if a check comes in December 2014 for calendar year 2015, the Secretary’s records indicate a payment in 2015…..but the Treasurer lists a record for 2014 when the check was deposited.  The Secretary’s database is used to send out reminder letters to residents or to determine which residents are full paid members per year which is why each check must be listed for the year it was intended.  The Treasurer’s records are the official record of income and expenses and are posted online.)

Expenses for 2015 so far have been $15,585.  This is slightly below expectations for the calendar year.  The board expects to keep Pine Book annual dues at the current amount of $75 (for calendar year).
