Board meeting minutes June 12, 2017

In attendance:  Lee Morrison, David Fish, Wayne Kessler, Kim Zurflieh, Rick McMullin, Jeanne Lowe, Carol Deglman

Meeting started at 7:00 p.m.

Discussion of Certificate of Corporate Resolution and text on the amount of money the PBCA will accept for the upcoming replacement bridge construction.  This follows discussions between the Board and members of local government concerning the proposal from Cumberland County for purchase of land from Front Park, right of way, rental of land belonging to Pine Brook, temporary easement and the cost of an independent appraisal of land value.  After negotiation, the PBCA board and the county have agreed to amounts for these terms. 

Wayne motioned to accept the proposal.  Rick seconded.  The motion was read into the record.  The motion passed unanimously.

The board discussed a motion to allow Lee Morrison and Kim Zurflieh to be empowered to accept these terms.  Wayne motioned for a voted and Kim seconded. The motion was read into the record.  The motion passed unanimously. 

The PBCA will receive this amount, there will or may be a Tax responsibility to be paid.  After this is paid, the Civic Association will have these monies in our Pinebrook Civic Association Account. 

With this additional money in our account, the association may be able to perform additional projects that were not able to be considered as our past budget had little money left after we paid for mowing, snow removal, sidewalk repairs, tree removal, insurance, etc.

Discussion of creating a sign at Front Park to state the property is private and owned by Pine Brook Civic Association.  This could help prevent outsiders from using the creek access and partying in the park.

Discussion of perhaps upgrading Pavilion Park for all year use.  The Pavilion will need a new roof soon and perhaps some structural repairs due to animal and insect damage.
