Board meeting January 19, 2015

 

In attendance: Jacquie Kirby, Ann Ulp, Lee Morrison, David Fish, Don Fry, Jean Lowe

 

Meeting started 7:05 p.m.

 

Billy Fish gave a presentation on his Eagle Scout project with Hidden Park.  He has gotten approval from the New Birth of Freedom Council and fundraising is continuing. The Hidden Park project will involve sanding and painting the playground equipment, trimming some trees, installing a picnic table and installing mats under the swings.   The project will also involving applying tanbark in in Hidden Park on April 17, 2015.  There may also be an extra project of mulch at Pavilion Park and front entrance on April 18, 2015.

January 30 – dues letter on email listserv

Feb 28 – Dues letter mailed out

April 1 – Deadline for neighborhood annual dues

March 28 – Easter egg hunt at Hidden Park – 11:00 a.m. (setup at 10:00 a.m.)

April 17 – Friday evening Mulch day and party at Hidden Park 5 - 8pm Saturday as rain date 4-7 pm.

April 18 – Saturday 10:00 a.m. to Noon mulch day at Pavilion Park and Front Park

May 1, May 2 – Spring Yard sale

May 12 – begin Tuesday nights at the Pavilion. (Depending on weather - too cold?)

August 28 – Annual meeting letter mailed.

September 12 – Neighborhood Picnic

September 12 – bike parade (11 a.m.)

October 5 – Annual Meeting.  Election of board, President and Vice-president

October 9, 10 – Fall yard sale

October 25 – Pumpkin Patch at Pavilion Park

November 30 -  Operation Ho-Ho & Caroling – at Pavilion.  6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.  

Dec 24 – Neighborhood luminaries

Discussion of soda machine at Pavilion Park.  The company donating the machine is willing to turn the machine over to the association.  The PBCA would have to stock the machine.   There were questions about who would pay for the upkeep.

 

Discussion of sidewalks in neighborhood.  Maintaining the sidewalks is the responsibility of the homeowner.  Might organize a “group purchase” if anyone is interested in working with the same company that did the sidewalks in the neighborhood parks. 

 

Discussion of routine landscaping and tree maintenance at the neighborhood parks.  The association will also do a weed & feed of Pavilion Park.

Next board meeting is February 16, 2014, at 7pm at 214 Lamp Post Ln.
