In attendance:
David Fish, Don Fry, Jake Miller, Jeanne Lowe, Katie Manning, Lee Morrison, Ramon Marin, Rick McMullin, Teresa Williams, Irmgard Bryan, Alison McClure
Meeting started at 7:00 p.m.
Lee introduced Alison McClure who will be taking over as Secretary for the association. Alison and Katie have done the Easter Egg hunt for many years. Alison is taking over for David Fish. The board approved Alison as the new secretary.
Discussion of Annual Meeting scheduled for October 1st at Pavilion Park. Notice of current board members and candidates for President and Vice-president will be announced.
Kim Zerflieh announced she was stepping down as vice-president and Don Fry announced he was also stepping down as a board member. Jake Miller was interested in becoming vice-president and Brad Perva was interested in becoming a new board member. Since Jake is a current board member, there is now a vacancy on the board.
Discussion of public access to the creek via properties in Pine Brook. Front Park is not public property. The space between 200 Lamp Post Ln and 3800 Lamp Post Lane is owned by Hampden Township Sewer Authority and is not public access. There is public access to the creek at the Conodoguinet Youth Park on Orrs Bridge Rd.
Discussion of having a Meet the Candidates night. Perhaps at the Pavilion sometime in October. The four candidates for US Congress and PA House would be invited. Residents would get a chance to hear the candidates talk for a set time and then interact with them individually. This would be an informational opportunity and not be a partisan meeting…..all candidates would be invited to speak for a set amount to time and allowed to interact with residents as a civic service.
Lee gave an update on the tax issue resulting from the money the association received from the construction of the new bridge. The association will have to file a tax return assuming the tax has to be paid…..until our tax status is finalized by the IRS. Most likely the PBCA will get all of this money back.
Discussion of continuing renting a bounce house for the picnic. The cost and lack of adults willing to monitor it is an issue. Discussion of sending out a survey to find out what the residents want from the picnic.
Discussion of other events for the rest of the year. Perhaps some events for adults (dinner, party?)
Meeting ended 8:07 p.m.
Next meeting is the Pine Brook Annual Meeting on October 1, 2018, at 7pm at Pavilion Park
