Board meeting February 8, 2016
In attendance: Lee Morrison, Kim Zurflieh, David Fish, Ramon Marin, Wayne Kessler, Jeanne Lowe
Meeting started 7:00 p.m.
Discussion of last month’s minutes. Minutes were approved.
Discussion of sending out the 2016 annual dues letter. The board will try to save money by sending this year’s letter only to the people who are not on the email list or have not responded to the first email contact. The advantage of using the email service is to tailor emails to individual households to avoid duplication of messages. The board will attempt to monitor which source people are responding from when paying dues – either email, mailing or newsletter.
The Treasurer gave a report. In 2015, there was a $627 surplus after expenses. The money will be applied to replenishing the rainy day fund.
Discussion of neighborhood dispute group in Harrisburg. It may be possible for residents of Pine Brook to utilize this volunteer group to assist with disputes with neighbors. The board is examining whether this would be a useful service for the residents.
Discussion of doing a series of neighborhood gatherings for the residents to meet the board and to discuss matters of concern for them. This could be a street at a time or by sections of the neighborhood. These most likely could be done in the spring at the pavilion when it warms up. Looking to hold these on the second Thursday of each month at 7pm starting in April.
Discussion of mowing for the parks. So far, the board has received a bid from M&H which has been doing the mowing. Their bid included park weeding, maintenance and Fall cleanup. The board will seek other bids.
Meeting ended 7:51p.m.
Next board meeting on March 14, 2015, at 7:00 p.m. at 420 Lamp Post Ln.
