Board meeting August 17, 2015
In attendance: Jacquie Kirby, David Fish, Ann Ulp, Wayne Kessler, Lee Morrison, Ramon Marin, Gary Marr, Don Fry, Dave Chajkowski
Meeting started 7:00 p.m.
Ramon mentioned he had talked to Fred Baskin about providing ribs and pulled pork from Fred’s restaurant for the neighborhood picnic. Fred will provide them at cost.
Ramon gave a treasurer report. Expenses are on track. Dues are still lower than last year which was lower than the year before.
Wayne discussed changing how the dues are presented to the neighborhood may increase participation in annual membership dues payment. Wayne suggested getting rid of the mini spreadsheet on the dues letter and promote the neighborhood benefit. Also need to make an appeal for people to volunteer and help out. It is time to turn the association over to a younger generation of families with kids. Discussion of sending out a questionnaire to determine what people expect and want from the association.
Discussion on starting electronic payment for residents as a method in increasing response for dues payment. This would also make accounting easier and deposit of money faster to the Pine Brook bank account.
Discussion of how to promote Pine Book both inside and outside the neighborhood. Pine Brook has three parks and is on the creek……which other neighborhoods do not have. Wayne suggested printing t-shirts or bumper stickers that residents could buy to show off the neighborhood. Websites, such as Café Press, would do this on demand. A Pine Brook resident who owns a t-shirt printing business may also be able to help.
Jacquie is in need of someone to dress as a clown to hand out ice cream to the kids taking part in the bike parade. Or, an ice cream truck to come to Pavilion Park at 11:20 a.m. on September 12, 2015.
